Ten on Tuesday

1. I vowed with any free time I had at work today I would study for Thursday's physiology exam. So much for that, eh?!

2. These days one of my favorite things is to watch hockey games with Tommy. He used to play and loves the Ducks. As two become one, I must also love the Ducks. But really, I like it. I also gave up trying to like football. I couldn't hate watching a sport more than football. Hey look, that's a plus of being in the Dom for T-giving!

3. Dear today: Lag much? Love, Joanna.

4. Tommy got this new game on his phone where you have to fight creepers in a dungeon like spiders and aqua-man. But the great part is that you fight by creating words out of the given letters. That's my kind of game for sure. I think playing that after class today with my boo was my favorite part so far today.

5. Another great thing: After class we went to go buy scantrons today and the machine kept spitting back my quarters. So after much profanity and violence, we chose to try another machine. The next machine hiccupped and gave us 4 scantrons for the price of one. Moral of the story: when irritated, I will steal.

6. Mom and Dad came down to OC for about 24 hours. They had a meeting with Revival to the Nations on Monday so I got to spend some time with them. Sometimes it's weird when my worlds collide, but it was very good to see them. I felt like curling up in my mom's lap and having her tell me life isn't all that bad.

7. My pre-DomDom diet has begun. Except when I really really want something, I will eat it. And I haven't exercised once yet. But my intentions are pure. I am also going to dabble at the tanning salon to get rid of some tan lines and develop a base for the trip.

8. A customer asked me today about making barcodes for a product of hers. The bossman always tells me to say yes to everything and then figure out how to do it later. I have a particularly negative attitude toward this task. Like unplug the computer and throw it out the window attitude. Like take a baseball bat to the knees of the next person who needs something from me.

9. Lady Antebellum on Saturday! Woowoo! I babysit Thursday and Friday nights, going to some little league baseball games with G-ma P on Sat morning, then concert, then Halloween the following day. Good thing Halloween isn't a real holiday and I can sleep through it if necessary!

10. I always listen to Lady Antebellum radio at work and these are the last few artists: Tim McG, One Republic, LeeAnn Womack, Linkin Park, and Selah. Weird right?

Have a fabby rest of your Tuesday.... xo.

Ten on Tuesday on Wednesday

1. This will be a lightning-fast post because the workday is almost over woooo!

2. I started an entry on Monday and never finished it. I intend to. You just might have the pleasure of reading a Ten on Tuesday on Wednesday AND a Musings on a Monday on Thursday.

3. I've been without a car since Monday at noon. It's a good thing my boyfriend likes me a lot and will drive me around (thanks baby!). Weird not having it though.

4. I snuggled with baby Lad this morning. I love little fuzzy baby hair and super soft skin and little onesies with puppies on them.

5. 32 days til we leave for the DomDom! Can that be right?? So soooon. Mm swimsuits and sunshine and tropical cocktails.

6. I love reading the postcards at PostSecret.com. The heartfelt ones are moving, but some of them are just overly raunchy.

7. Tommy and I share a love for the show Dexter. We've watched all the seasons either illegally downloaded or streaming from somewhere questionably legal. Turns out this whole time the cable at my house includes Showtime and the episodes are available to watch on-demand for free.

8. I can't stop thinking about soup and my bed. Eating soup then going to bed. Or eating soup while in bed. Or pouring soup all over my bed. I don't know. Mmm soup bed.

9. There is still much much time to pass before I hear anything back from APU. It is so weird that my nursing future/non-future is inside the brains of some people who don't know me.

10. I am terribly incapable of writing a lightning fast post. Everything that was in my mind to write escaped the second I sat down to write. Happy Wednesday my friends. I hope you have a moment today where you are truly happy to be alive.

Musings on a Monday on Wednesday

Oh, Monday. I was not ready for you, yet here you are. I shall reflect on you:

I woke up early today and had 2 whole hours to get ready. If you know anything about me, you know this must have been an act of the Almighty. I did some routine grocery shopping for the Franklins. I also did some light housework and shmoozed with my second favorite tribe of offspring. I had to move my car and Deacon hopped in with me for the ride (literally 12 feet). He was thrilled and I couldn't resist the photo op. I really love those children. All six of them. If I didn't also love the mom and wanted her brain to explode, I would want her to have more kids. It's just that they're all so great, fun, and ridiculously good-looking.

On my way to work, I dropped Mandy off at the body shop. I think my hand was shaking as I handed over the keys. I honestly think I am inappropriately reacting to being separated from my car. I have this knot in my stomach like I have just lost a friend. I'll get her back on Thursday. I can't imagine how I will feel when I actually have to turn her in at lease-end next month.

Got my bridesmaid dress over the weekend for Jesenia's wedding. Once I get a decent pic of it, I will share. Her shower was also this weekend. Twas fun. Excellent food.

It is now Wednesday and I'm bloggedly retarded and can't figure out how to post a picture in the place I want it. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy.

Ten on Tuesday

1. Tommy and I have been watching the Biggest Loser. This is the first season I have ever watched. I like it for several reasons, some of which are as follows: I want Jillian to beat me up, I want Bob to be my trainer, I love becoming emotionally involved in the lives of strangers, and it makes me feel skinny.

2. This morning I overslept (2 days in a row going strong), slept through class, and slept at Tommy's between class and work. In my groggy state, I told Tommy that I am a Slumberjack. I am very proud of that.

3. I love in the morning when there are little paw prints on my car in a pattern indicating the animal slid down the window.

4. I submitted my application to APU! Woowoo. I've even sent all my transcripts and letters of recommendation and all that. Now I wait...

5. 39 days til we leave for the Dominican Republic! I'm very very very excited and I know it will be amazing, but my heart still hurts over missing a Thanksgiving (my favorite holiday) with the family. Who will eat all the potatoes?

6. My lease is up in a few weeks. I'm in denial about losing Mandy.

7. Tommy and I went bowling on Sunday night because it's $2 per game after 9pm. We went with Tommy's bestie Josh and his girlfriend-ish person. I forgot how much fun it is even though I'm terrible at it. At the risk of sounding queer, we had a blast.

8. I've never been more excited for the release of a new album than I am for the new Sugarland!

9. You have probably noticed my new recycle theme. I really love to recycle. But I might only do it because I feel guilty when I throw recyclable items in the trash. Anyway, now that I have customized, I think I will move on to my next big task of posting pictures. Cross your fingers!

10. Fickle weather, eh?

Give me a ring when you get this, Charles

How bad am I at blogging?? So bad! I can't believe I already forgot about it. I've had it like a month and a half? So ashamed.

My kids are doing great. Charlie won the spelling bee and Jimmy hit a grand slam. My pregnancy is also going great. The baby is kicking a lot today. Must have been that Taco Bell I ate. I have a feeling it's a girl. My husband is wonderful, he loves his job and just got promoted!

That is why I do not blog. I have nothing decent to say. Want the real story?

I went to Vegas over the weekend for Jesenia's bachelorette party. Nothing like getting all dressed up and having a great time until the heels start murdering my feet. Being a bridesmaid is fun but very very expensive. Especially when it's in another country.... bright side, 45 days til we leave for the DomDom! (46 til we arrive and 51 til the wedding!)

The shower is next weekend too. We all got measured a while ago and we'll get to try on our dresses for the first time that day. Even though the seamstress spoke Spanish, I understood her whispering to seamstress #2 about how short my legs are. No joke.

I'm berry tired. Even with the nap I took during class this morning (really, I did) I'm still fighting the zzzz's. I usually bring a snack to work for a midday pick-me-up and today I didn't for some reason. I feel sluggish. I am also still moderately creeped out by the dream I had last night that black widows had infested the trees surrounding my house. It was impossible to go anywhere without getting caught in their webs.

About to hit the halfway point in my workday. Power through!
