I'm doing my Ten on Tuesday today because I can.
1. I held baby Lad for the first time today. I could have sat with him in my arms all day. He feels like he weighs nothing, his little jammies are so soft, and his skin is... well, like a baby's bottom. I love that little newbie humans have no concept of facial expressions so they twist their faces and squint and roll their eyes like little aliens. But, in the cutest way possible. Ahh little warm baby with teeny tiny fingernails. Someday.
2. On my way to the office today I saw a van with a window advertisement for "Horse & Dog Chiropractic". I laughed out loud. I think maybe if you called the number someone would pick up and say "haha..sucker." And hang up.
3. I find it funny that the word "baggie" is an acceptable word to describe a small bag. Like adults can say it to other adults and thats fine. I'm going to start doing that with all small things. A short work day is a workie, a quick bite is a foodie, and a small person is a shortie... wait..
4. The official decision has been made to turn in my car at the lease-end in November. I need something with 4 doors that doesn't get its jollies from guzzling gasoline. I was doing a quick online search for cars with my dad over the weekend to see what was out there and what I could afford. The only thing that really breaks my heart and queezes my gut is the engine size is going to decrease massively. I'm not one of them crazy road rash chicks but I like a little vroom vroom when I need it.
5. I really need to get my fat A into shape. I've never really had the grandest tone and I definitely have never run more than 2 miles at a time, but let's be real. Things that used to be in their proper places are starting to head south. I don't even have a kid or a super busy schedule to excuse my behavior.
6. The holiday weekend flew by. I went up to Ventura with my darling Thomas for Grandma's funeral on Saturday. Everything was very nicely done and the flowers were amazing. I was an emotional mess and if I didn't have my wonderful boyfriend and family there I would have been a puddle. As Steph said, the only dumb thing was that we didn't take a picture of the four siblings. We're never all together so we try to capture the moments we are.
7. Tommy and I celebrate 7 months together on Friday. We joke about the months being years, like July was happy 5 years, then 6, now it will be our 7 year anniversary. It really feels like years, maybe not 7, but at least 2. It's weird to think that last year at this time we had just met. It's really great to have someone who puts up with my insane brain and stubborn crap. Heck, he even likes me for it. Shout out to you babydoll. <3
8. I just got word that my bosses' 3 year old son is in the hospital with a possible broken leg. This kid is super cute and I could listen to him run around the office speaking spanglish all day long. Poor guy.
9. I'm excited to have nothing to do tonight. Not that my life is choc full o' awfulness, I just like a night with no plans every once in a while. I will do some laundry, tidy up, maybe study (maybe not), send a thousand texts to Tommy to keep him busy in class, and fall asleep as early as possible.
10. September is already going by fast. I'll be in the Dom before I know it! Woooo.
1. I also love baby skin. Why don't you get right on that. After you get married I mean.
ReplyDelete2. Hahahaha!
3. I like this better than doink.
4. Goodby Mandy. You'll be missed.
5. You're still skinnier than me so don't even worry.
6. Ditto.
7. Wow, it hasn't been that long but he seems like a part of the family! I like him.
8. Aw, poor lil guy.
9. Nights to do nothing are great.
10. Time flies man, time flies.
1.I want a baby also
ReplyDelete2.Are they hiring?
3.Who’s my Babie?
4.Hybrid Jo here we come
5.You are sexy
6.Funerals are sad, I’m glad I could be there for you.

8.I love baby elephantes also
9.You fell asleep before I could say good night after class. So. GOOOD NIGHT my baby!
10.Woohoo for the DomDom, we leave tomorrow right?
Number two is my favorite. I'm going to start using this terminology as well.
